PatriaPet is a one of a kind company. Family owned and operated in the USA, PatriaPet is the first and only company in the world dedicated to offering high-quality, fun pet products that combine pride in heritage with functionality.
PatriaPet History
Founder Jorge Gutierréz created PatriaPet in September 2007 after an unsuccessful attempt to find a dog collar that would proudly display the colors of his family’s heritage. The idea to search for such an item occurred to him while buying dog food at a local pet store. On impulse, he purchased an ordinary dog collar for the family pet, Bongo. When he placed the collar on the passenger seat alongside a handmade bracelet woven in the colors of the Colombian flag he envisioned a collar with the same colors and thought how wonderful it would look.
After searching for such a collar he searched for other countries and quickly found that they simply did not exist. There was definitely a void there. After some due diligence and careful planning, PatriaPet was born. The website launched with twelve designs in January of 2008.
Since then PatriaPet has expanded the company’s line of collars and leashes to include 20 designs, and further broadened the entire product line. The company now offers treats, charms and t-shirts in addition to the collars and leashes.
