American Hairless Terrier
 |
The origin of the American Hairless Terrier breed can be traced back to a single dog, "Josephine", born in 1972 to a litter of Rat Terriers. Descendents of that dog are energetic and alert dog with a curiosity and intelligence level that makes training very simple. A strong hunting instinct in the American Hairless Terrier comes from its Terrier ancestry - but being hairless makes them unsuitable for this sport. Like most Terrier breeds, the American Hairless Terrier is fearless, tenacious and has high energy levels. The American Hairless Terrier is an exceptionally friendly companion, getting along well with children, other dogs, and even cats and bonds well with its owners.
