Carolina Dog
The Carolina Dog is also sometimes referred to as the American Dingo. DNA tests show that the dog may be some type of primitive dog, similar to the Dingo or wild dog found in Australia. Cave paintings in ancient Native American dwellings have been found depicting a dog that looks like the Carolina dog of today. The Carolina Dog is naturally suspicious of strangers, but is known to be affectionate with its owners and family.
