Many embellished leashes on the market are made of nylon webbing with a design fabric sewn on top. Given the multi-layer construction and the water-retaining properties of nylon, this type of leash is prone to retaining moisture, dirt, and eventually, mold and mildew. Our leashes are made of a single layer of polyester on which the design is permanently infused. Polyester is hydrophobic which means that it is water resistant.
